I think we're done!

Katie can interfere with Kailyn's Hole in Ones Katie moves from her side of the sandbox (blue) to Kailyn's (yellow) at will, her will, not Kailyn's.
Kailyn's surfing. Please notice the repainting we did on the bench. It was a faded, peeling blue.

And this is the famous Balance Beam. Not really that far off the ground. That's our back yard to the left. The play area is to the side of the house.

Did we feel it?

Well, there was a 3.9 earthquake last night in Port Hueneme. I was on the phone with Mother when we both heard a very loud noise. It sounded like an explosion. Then we felt some very gentle rolling that stopped almost before it started. It was the wierdest earthquake Bill & I have felt (heard). Nothing moved, even the hanging light.
Just a picture to let you know that Spring has finally arrived here.

Mother's Day

We added a surf board for balance. It's harder to balance and keep it level than it looks.

See all those bags on the back table? Those are Mother's 10 sandwiches and cherry tarts. They were only $1 each. She plans to fill the freezer. 4 generations in this picture!

We took Mother to her favorite place -- Arbys. Karen and Kalissa met us there as an unexpected treat.

Much Better for Us

The sand area should be good when we have all three girls over here.

That's the water hazard that Katie is walking over. No water in the hazard yet since both Bill & I have been landing directly in the "water" with our ball every time we've tried.

Update

Okay, there's been a change. No more water fun. What a mess having the water and sand right next to each other. They now both hold the play sand.

Fun Zone's About Finished

Between the sand and water and it involves a change of clothes. Luckily the 3 hole golf is Kailyn's favorite and clean. Bill & I would have liked something like this when we were kids.
