Christmas Day

Now for taking down all the stuff we put up and eating leftovers for lunch. By dinner time we were tired so we went to the Orlinskys for a relaxed ham dinner.

Another South Pacific Cruise

We recently got back from another South Pacific Cruise. It was the beginning of Summer there and we enjoyed the warm weather. We especially like Western and American Samoa. Below is a picture of us outside our room on the balcony and our room, Baja 103.
(packing)

Below is what we enjoyed most

The Syncopated Sapphire String Band

Saturday, Last Day -- We're in Ensenada, Mexico

We woke to another sunny, clear, warm day. It's been this way the entire trip. Yeah! Today we were to meet in the Parrot Cay dining room for our Character Breakfast at 7:45. At this breakfast some of the traditional characters come by to sign autograph books or whatever and let you take pictures with them. Like in California Adventure in Disneyland, they have dressed in California style.
There were so many characters moving around it was hard to get a good picture. As the breakfast was ending the servers and assistant started taking napkins and turning us into characters. Of course we couldn't see ourselves, only the others. They even used the table cloths from the tables!
Dinner Time for the Last Time on the Disney Wonder (guess we'll have to start cooking agian)

Mickey led a parade of flags around and between all the tables with servers and other cast members carrying flags from every country represented on this cruise by both cast members and passengers. I think there were 60 countries.
There was a Good Bye Party in the lobby with all the characters
We were up at 7 A.M. the next morning for a relaxing breakfast in the same dining room we'd had dinner last night. I had the Route 66 which was really good. At 8:15 they called for Daisy Duck luggage tags and we were off the ship. No lines for Customs, pick luggage or anything. We were home by 10:30 and that counted a coffee break at McD's on Pacific Coast Hwy and our usual boxes of strawberries from the stand on Hueneme Road. It was a great week of Family and we loved it.

Friday, Day 6 -- San Diego

We docked right next to the Midway Museum
It was a good day for staying onboard and playing the in the pools
Peter Pan told the girls how they could scare Captain Hook who was in the atrium right below them.
Being that is was Pirates Night, Jack Sparrow was in another part of the ship

It was Pirate theme for dinner and they had bandanas to wear. Katie wore one but slept through dinner. We sailed south to Mexico and enjoyed a Pirate Party on the top decks. Even Minnie Mouse dressed as a pirate!
You should have seen us all doing the Hand Jive followed by the Twist and then some Line Dancing. Kids were doing it better than me.
Mickey flew across the sky to save the ship from the Pirates. This was followed by fireworks set off from the back of the ship. Beautiful display in typical Disney fashion.

Thursday, Day 5 -- Sea Day

We spent the day sailing along the California Coast -- too much cloud cover to see land.
Dinner was semi-formal (which for us meant casual again)
Watching "Tangled" on the big screen. They had 4 types of hot pizza, hot cocoa, coffee, teas, and cold milk and soft drinks
